Football season is fast approaching, and fans are itching to watch the Broncos kick off their season as the newest members of the Pac-12, setting fans up for a new exciting chapter of Boise State football.
Luckily, if the Broncos are heading out of town or you weren’t able to snatch a seat at Albertsons Stadium, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the game-day experience.
Whether you’re looking for the best screens in town or a place to enjoy some good grub with fellow fans, here are five locations in Boise where you can enjoy the Broncos’ season.
LIGA Boise – for die hard sports fans
Located right in the center of downtown Boise on Capitol Boulevard, LIGA Boise offers the full sports bar experience for the most passionate fans.
LIGA fosters an atmosphere that encourages fans to cheer just as loud as they would from the stands. With sporting events always on display and volume turned up to full blast, Bronco fans don’t have to settle for celebrating touchdowns on mute.
You can catch both home and away games right here, so grab your favorite drink, enjoy some grub from Boise Fry Co. or Waffle Me Up and enjoy the game on the big screen. LIGA Boise also offers free games, including darts, pool and foosball for halftime — or when the game gets too stressful.
Bluebird Social – for watch party fans
When it is time for the Broncos to hit the road, Bluebird Social offers Bronco fans a space to bring that home game spirit back to Boise. Naming themselves as the “home for Boise State away games,” the venue hosts watch parties for games when the Broncos are out of reach. Rather than watching from the couch, you can catch the game on the big screen with cold drinks and food from local food trucks.
Conveniently located right along the Greenbelt, the venue is easily accessible for Boise State students looking to catch the game with fellow fans. Bluebird Social will be hosting official watch parties for away games starting on Saturday with Boise State vs. University of Oregon, kicking off at 1:30 p.m.
Bluebird social offers fans a chance to come together and cheer, even when the Broncos are playing hundreds of miles away.
Parrilla Grill & Cantina – for hungry fans
For the Bronco fans looking for game-day spirit and a place to satisfy your tastebuds, Parrilla Grill and Cantina located in downtown Boise offers a perfect family atmosphere.
College football is always playing on the big screens, and while a bar is available for those 21-and-older Broncos, anyone can come and enjoy some fine dining and an energetic environment. If you are interested in a place to grab a good bite while also keeping an eye on the game, this restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere to watch your Broncos without making the bar the center of the experience.
Dave & Buster’s – for arcade fans
If you can’t seem to stay still throughout all four quarters of the game, Dave & Buster’s combines the hyped sports-watching experience with cheerful fun for halftime. Located on Milwaukee Street, this arcade features state-of-the-art screens displaying various sporting events, including college football, alongside a full restaurant.
Bronco fans can enjoy good burgers and delicious appetizers while watching the game, then head to the arcade when there’s a break in the action. With various arcade-style games, air hockey and basketball, Dave & Buster’s is the perfect family-friendly choice.
Buffalo WIld Wings – for classic sports-action fans
Those who were looking to catch the Broncos without sacrificing access to other beloved sports teams that happen to be playing at the same time, Buffalo Wild Wings located on Main Street in downtown Boise offers wall-to-wall TVs that play your favorite sports teams around the clock.
Of course, football at Buffalo Wild Wings comes with the football classic grub — wings. With a wide selection of sauces and other game-day staples, this restaurant offers sports fans an excellent combination of football, food and a lively atmosphere.
The city of Boise lights up for football season. From sports bars to restaurants and even organized watch parties, there are many places to find a screen and enjoy every touchdown – or furiously roar at every questionable call – alongside fellow Bronco fans.
