Relationship Mistake No. 1 _ Partner Bashing

Bashing the one you are supposed to love seems to have become a national pastime.
Brian Lawatch, Boise State history major and McNair Scholar, completed his research over the summer.

"I conducted research on the French's use of torture during the French-Algerian War, comparing it to the U.S. in the 'war on terror' and how torture came to be practiced," Lawatch said.

In general, no one shows up to the Associated Students of Boise State University Senate meetings. Sometimes the friends of the senators drop by, and occasionally a guest speaker will linger to hear the introduced legislation, but for the most part you could hear a pin drop.

In the last five years, I have had items stolen or vandalized more times than I can count. Car stereos, bikes, holiday decorations, purses, propane tanks - you name it, I've had it stolen from me. I'm not so na've as to think I'm a helpless victim. In the beginning, I knew there were things I could have done to protect myself. But these most recent burglaries have me thinking that maybe it is just the universe.

Nov. 13, I published a pro-Proposition 8 article and I feel as though I did not do the piece the justice it deserved. In writing it, I felt as though I needed to be careful with a subject that is sensitive to those on both sides.

You can't ignore it and it's there - creeping into your life as we speak. Things of change are approaching and it will take more than an election to keep it going, but it's a hell of a start.
After writing about denialism, I discovered myself finding it more frequently. In day-to-day life, going to the grocery store, buying my coffee at Moxie and borrowing a book from the library.
