Getting lost in the voting maze?
Registering to vote can sometimes be a confusing process, start here

-A citizen of the United States.
-Age 18 or older.
-A resident of the state and county you reside in.
-Registered as the law requires.
What if I’m from out of state?
-Request an absentee ballot from your home county.
-Register in Idaho with your local address (if you have lived in Idaho for 30 days or more).
If you’re not sure if you’re registered in Idaho, you can go to idahovotes.gov/YPP_NEW/AmIRegistered.aspx
Where can I register?
-To register you must have your driver’s license number or the last four digits of your social security number, and a document with your valid address (when registering at polls).
-On the Boise State Quad Thursday and Friday, Oct. 9 and 10, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
-By mail (ballot must be postmarked by Oct. 10)
-Ada County Courthouse until, Oct. 10.
-At the polls on Election Day:
Complete a registration card.
Make an oath in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State.
Provide a document with a valid address in the precinct.
Provide a photo ID card.
How do I vote absentee?
Absentee voting is an option when a person is not in their state, county or precinct during an election. Residents from other states living Idaho can choose to vote here or in their home state. Absentee ballot application requirements in Idaho are:
-your name
-your Idaho address
-mailing address the ballot needs to be forwarded to
-your signature received by October 27th.

Once registered, voters of Ada County may vote Oct. 14 to Nov. 3, Mon through Fri 8-5 at
