With the onset of October, fall has officially set in with a cool, brisk breeze. The time to find ghoulish artwork is upon us.
The secluded Basement Gallery at the Idanha Hotel has opened their annual Halloween exhibition.

The gallery is located in Bodo, at 928 W. Main and is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm.

A collection of illustrative works from some of the business’s elite hailing from the Boise area include our own Bill Carman, a Boise State Art professor, who will be showcasing a few of his noteworthy and unique pieces. Mike Flinn from the Boise Weekly will be represented in the gallery through his intriguing cartoon counterparts.

More talent from the Boise Weekly will be showcased as Erin Cunningham’s frighteningly beautiful monochromatic paintings are a sure highlight of the gallery’s presentation.

The presented mediums continue to expand with Mike Shipman’s addition to the show. The wildlife biologist and photography business owner’s pieces are represented by a collection of haunting photographs depicting female Goth nudes.
Scary sculptures and enamel paintings will be provided by Keith Farnsworth, an Art teacher in Jerome.

Amy Lunstrum offers a unique perspective of everyday objects through her stoneware submissions.

The great talents of the artists are displayed in celebration of the Halloween upcoming season.

The holiday themed exhibition runs through November 1st, so be sure to check out these interesting and thought provoking pieces before their creepiness expires.
